How to get involved

Online Events

Join our interactive online sessions to meet inspiring women in tech, tackle real-world challenges or learn new technical skills. Open to everyone but mostly aimed at secondary school and college students, with events ranging from Q&A panels to hands-on workshops.

Insight Days

Experience a day in the tech industry. These visits to company offices offer a chance to meet women in tech, hear their stories, and try hands-on activities. Most run during school holidays and are open to 16-25 year olds in full-time education. Lunch is included but you'll need to arrange your travel.

Conferences & Expos

Connect with the wider tech community at major industry events. We take groups of students to conferences and expos, where you can network with different companies, join workshops, or discover the latest innovations. Our team will be there to help you make valuable connections.

Work Experience Placements

Get real workplace experience in a tech team. Most placements are 5 days (Monday to Friday) during term time and are open to 14-18 year olds. Based in our partner companies' offices, you'll work on actual projects, discover what a tech career is really like, build your professional network and gain great examples for your CV or personal statement.

Next Tech Fest

Our annual summer event brings together girls and women aged 16+ for an inspiring day of interactive workshops, engaging panels, speed mentoring, and networking - all hosted by leading tech companies. Plus, enjoy free food and drink, and take home a Next Tech Girls swag bag!
